Leading a team of some of the most talented designers, choreographers, and special effect artists in the world, Railton was able to bring the imagination of Director Kenny Ortega and Producer Don Mischer from concept to reality in what is considered one of the most successful Winter Olympics productions.
Breaking tradition for the Winter Olympics, the venue was located in an arena rather than the mountain slopes. For his production design, Railton received an Emmy and a Designers Guild Award. In addition, Railton also Art Directed the 1984 LA Olympics.
